About St. Thomas
St. Thomas is known as the “Railway Capital of Canada” due to the many railway lines that channel through the city. It is also known for the life sized monument of Jumbo the Elephant. In 1885, P.T. Barnum’s circus featured an unusually large elephant named Jumbo.
